I suspect you probably have a good chunk of RAM free?  If so, the OS
disk caching helps a lot.

Second, you're looking at 3000KB file sizes here, try again with 600MB
movies which weren't split until multiple files before posting, the
results may be quite different.

In all honesty it's been some time since I used BNR2/BNR3 as a primary
client, I'm mainly an NZB guy these days and use NZBget because it runs
as a service (in other words, I just download the NZB file, it gets
picked up, downloaded, PAR'd if needed and finally unrar'd automatically
all without any intervention), so there may be other factors involved as
well, but I distinctly recall seeing this when downloading huge files
while starving the OS of RAM.
