I still use bnr2 on linux almost every other day. Not sure what you mean
by it not working on modern Linux; Debian Stable is not cutting edge,
but it isn't THAT old.
Haven't found anything better.
The only reason that I don't use bnr2 as often as I did is that a lot
posters have stopped posting. And I have run in to a lot of files
password encrypted, or worse, not encrypted, but using a custom codec of
God only knows what providence.
