Walk/Get data problem Value: U

Hi,

When I create a new template for a device (CMTS), I get correct IDs for 
interfaces like:
IF-MIB::ifIndex.721432 = INTEGER: 721432

Then for some values, like SNR, I can successfully get the data such as:
transmission.127.1.3.9.1.3.721432.

The problem I have are the values for the OID 
enterprises.4998.1.1.10.2.23.1.2, where adding the interface ID to the 
end like enterprises.4998.1.1.10.2.23.1.2.721432 is not enough (snmpwalk 
works, but snmpget doesnt and then of course Cacti also doesnt), because 
the query should be enterprises.4998.1.1.10.2.23.1.2.721432.1 (so .1 
added after the interface ID).

In the template I have:
<dcx4StatsAvgUtil>
<name>dcx4StatsAvgUtil</name>
<method>walk</method>
<source>value</source>
<direction>output</direction>
<oid>.1.3.6.1.4.1.4998.1.1.10.2.23.1.2</oid>
</dcx4StatsAvgUtil>

snmpwalk of .1.3.6.1.4.1.4998.1.1.10.2.23.1.2.721432 returns INTEGER: 13
snmpget of .1.3.6.1.4.1.4998.1.1.10.2.23.1.2.721432 returns No Such 
Instance currently exists at this OID

Why does Cacti seems to use snmpget instead of snmpwalk (even though I 
have walk as a method) which returns result successfully?

The issue I am having, is like the one described here: 
http://forums.cacti.net/about39934.html. But since there is quite a 
number of interfaces, I am looking for an automated solution.

I am looking for a nice way of getting those results into the Cacti (I 
am working on a Arris C4c CMTS template many are looking for and will 
make it public after completing).
