Hi there! I'm writing to this list because I'm trying to configure cacti for monitoring remote hosts and I'm having some trouble configuring it. Both hosts are Ubuntu 12.04 distribs. On the server side, I did a very standard installation, via apt-get and changed just the necessary params, for example, setting spine as poller, verifying paths, etc. On the client side I followed this manual: http://www.debuntu.org/how-to-monitor-your-servers-with-snmp-and-cacti So, on the server I had the client to be monitorized, and although the host is "Up", the graphs are blank (I see the reference system, but nothing drawn on it). Checking logs I see something like this (192.168.0.17 = client's IP): 06/29/2012 09:15:53 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] WARNING: SNMP Get Timeout for Host:'192.168.0.17', and OID:'.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0' "snmpwalk -v 1 -c public udp:192.168.0.17:161" is ok, but the following command fails: root@cacti:/etc/snmp# snmpget 192.168.0.17 -c public .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0 -v 1 Error in packet Reason: (noSuchName) There is no such variable name in this MIB. Failed object: iso.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0 Any ideas of what am I doing wrong? Thank you very much!
