I assume, that the timeouts stem from SNMP request against those "extend"
scripts. It may happen, that those scripts take too long. Please make sure, that
reasonable timeouts are used with commands used within those scripts.
It may be a good move to change timeout settings for the cacti host definitions
as well.
As you're using spine, running that in verbosity=3 will provide polling times
per host. This may further narrow down performance issues
