Hiya,

We have a few weathermaps which show parts of our core network. We have a few links which the interfaces are up, but have no traffic. What we are trying to achieve is a red link if the interface goes down (ie, failed device or port shutdown etc.), but to be light blue if the interface is up, but carrying no traffic. I’m wanting to toy with ifOperStatus, but – I would it to be written so if the port is up, it uses the port traffic data source, but if it’s down, it uses the ifOperStatus result to show as red. Bit confusing I know :/

So, for a link referencing a shutdown interface it should show the link as red. For a link referencing an up interface, but carrying no traffic, show it as light blue. How would I achieve this in the most efficient way?

TIA,
Ash
