Network tree-aware threshold emails?

I have thresholds plugin (0.4.9), it is working well, except for one thing:

Can it be somehow taught network topology, so that it either

- would NOT send an email for parts of network that would be unreachable
(e.g. due to being tree-like, not full-mesh) when a node that is an entry point to that part,
fails to reply ? (the unreachable status still to be reported on thold page, that is OK)

- or, at least, include the other non-reachable nodes in 1 email instead of 1 email per node?

Or maybe other plugins exist that may be smarter that way ?
