How to synchronize master and slave poller

Hi, 

i'm trying ton understand how works master data colelctor and it slave(s). 

So, i install an instance of cacti-1.1.3 on a server A, check that Mysql is open for the world, 
and install a server B, design to be the slave of A. 

I configure a router to be monitoring by server B, i can check that SNMP resquest are done by server B, but no rrd tools are crete on server B disk. 
A long mysql TCP communcation is established beetween server B and server A, but nothing happen. 

Do i have done a mistake, or someone can help me by giving me the right documentation, or the right behaviour.
