Not really but I have found a link message on the list [1] that states
that is should work with slackware. Although I don't know if that person
specified the CFLAGS options.

You might want to try to find a solution by using a search engine. I
personally don't have any problem when specifing the CFLAGS (using
gentoo). Maybe using "$ env -i CFLAGS=..." will help.
