error 503 after server upgrade

I use centericq several years already. Yesterday the server where my account is kept [jabber.cz] was upgraded and since this time I cannot connect to the server. I tried the plaintext auth even the secured. I was surprised by the answer of the server support team - something like "we cannot support old - already not supported - protocols. try another client." And really. Another client [gajim], even web interface on www.meebo.com is working. Strange is that my colleagues used gaim reported the problem too. What means the answer of the support team? What "old" protocols cicq uses? What does exactly mean "Secured" connection? Does it mean TLS or [as marked on some another clients] "old SSL"? Can be my problem solved by "Agent list" patch sent weeks ago? Is it better to compile it from the last snapshot than use deb package 4.21.0-10?
