Problem logging into yahoo

I am using windows xp sp2 and having trouble accessing
yahoo messenger with centericq. I can connect to msn,
aim, and irc just fine with no problems. When I try to
login to yahoo, it gives me the following and I
quote.. 

..."[yahoo] connecting to the server"
..."[yahoo] error: Connection closed by server"

I have checked my firewall and it is allowing
centericq. I have no idea what the problem is. I know
I have typed my password correctly because I can log
into my email with no problems. Here is what I did. I
opened up centericq.bat and inputted my email address
which is "abcdefg-/[email protected]" and inputted my password
****, what did I do wrong? I have cygwin installed in
my computer if that makes any difference. I should
point out that in the past cygwin was getting in the
way of me logging into aim via centericq-but now that
problem is resolved. The only problem now is I can't
get into yahoo. If someone has a fix or any ideas,
please post asap-thanks in advance =)
