Thinking of using cricket

Hi All,
 
I am planning to deploy a monitoring solution that will allow both real
time and historical monitoring of apache, blue coat proxies and possibly
more apps such as weblogic etc.  Cricket seems like a good fit but after
looking at the contrib section and the mail archives it seems that
Cricket is not particularly active at the moment.  Is there something
else that I should be considering?  Is Cricket still active?
