Same thing crossed my mind, but the fact is Cricket works and does lots of neat things and can be made to do lots of neat things. Not everyone wants a Web gui, however most would not admit to it being a feature if you hog tied them (command line to the end ). But you have options Cacti Munin (think that's right) MRTG (rebirth?) And a dozen other choices. I looked at Cacti and in fact installed it back in the day, but lately I've been looking at munin, but not ready to bail on my nice Cricket config.
