Hi Robert,

We did ask on this list if anyone was interested in taking over ISC-DHCP =
as an =E2=80=98authorized=E2=80=99 fork, and in the end, no, we did not =
get any volunteers. There was one person who indicated they might want =
to maintain the client, as part of a team, if we could find others to =
help, but nothing that rose to the level of a viable committment.

In case you haven't found it, we announced the EOL here on this list =
(https://lists.isc.org/pipermail/dhcp-users/2022-October/022786.html)=20
https://lists.isc.org/pipermail/dhcp-users/2022-October/022786.htmland =
on the ISC web site, https://www.isc.org/blogs/isc-dhcp-eol/ a year ago, =
and I am unaware of any actively-maintained fork. If you happen to find =
one though, please do let us know, as there are several places where I =
could drop breadcrumbs to make it easier for users to find these.

The problems we faced in continuing to maintain ISC DHCP would also =
present difficulties for other maintainers, so I am not very surprised =
that we haven=E2=80=99t seen a viable fork emerge.=20

Vicky Risk, ISC Product Manager=
