There's a patch, and you can find it in the sourceforge repository. 
It will also be inside the main code, from the next version on...
By the way if you are finding this problem it's very likely you are using
OpenLDAP 2.1 which is incompatible with DA, as long as schemacheck is
turned on, right now. If you look back at the list archive there are some
proposal to solve that, but none has been implemented so far, till today.
