It can be done by a schema search, which is defined in LDAPv3. For now I 
have no code ready, but maybe I can try to prepare something... ;)

We can simply ask the server the schema, and then if the requested object
classes are supported. Or, alternatively, we can ask it in the
compatibility option (somethink like Samba Schema Enabled: [ ]).
In any case what about skipping all samba questions in the wizards and while 
modifying the users, if samba is not in use for that directory? This would
simplify the software usage, for the ones with no samba needs.

Let me know what you think about these possibilities...
