Re: when creating a user, home dir not created!

Nothing, this is intended behavior.

DA only connects to the directory server.  Since the directory server
may be managing accounts for 10.000 computers, there's NO way DA could
create home directories for all those users.

The solution to your conflict is to enable the PAM module
pam_mkhomedir.so - google for information on how to do this, or search
the mailing list archives.
