This kind of stuff should be taken care of before each and every release. Naturally, users will expect that RPMs be built as well, so RPM builds should not fail. Both the version number in the spec file and the directory used in the tar.gz file should be fixed in the release, preferably making a new release. Many serious syadmins and users won't touch source software at all, or build an RPM for themselves from the source RPM. This means you lose serious users, which generally means you lose serious business. I do not see the web site updated with release info, as well. -- Manuel Amador <[email protected]> Amauta
