OK, but part of the reason for using PADL is to migrate existing
accounts without having to create each account by hand, a rather
tedious and time consuming process. I've used PADL before, to migrate
and it always seemd to work fine.

If I were setting up a system from scratch, then diradmin would
probably be a good fit. However, since I'm migrating accounts from an
old system to another it doesn't work right. GQ, on the other hand
uses existing accounts as a "template" and so sticks within the
constraints of the existing schema.

I can only assume that diradmin is a straight jacket that only uses
schemas within the authors predetermined ideas of what they should
look like. He/They presume to know what's best for me. This is
annoying in both proprietary and open source software. If I were a
programmer, I'd probably fix it, unfortunately I'm not.
