Yes, but  the difference  between ``redo'' and  auto*tools is  that redo
produces  a  Makefile that  is  readable  and alterable.  An  auto*tools
Makefile is extremely unfriendly to the  eyes and as others have pointed
out, not really intended to be modified. :-)
