Why do I refute the dishonest? Because they are dishonest; that's 
reason enough.

The insubstantial personal attacks are off-topice and add nothing. 

The messages by Raftery and Weldon attacking me contained no substance; 
they were off-topic.

The refutation of their dishonest personal attacks is necessary.

Honest, substantial statements about credibility are not off-topic.  My
messages refering to pages on the credibility of certain persons are
substantive and relevant to the members of this list; they are not
off-topic.

I suggest you point your opinion at the people making the unfounded
attacks. Of course, I understand the futility of such criticism of such
dishonest people---All that can be done is refute their lies.  But you
do neither, so your message is just more noise, isn't it?
