I sent this to Matthew Dempsky, who is childishly blocking my mail. But
on second thought, it is probably helpful for a number of people on this
list.

Unless new people want to make new false charges, this is my last post
on the subject.

BTW, how old are you? I suggest before you get too far down the line of
being a script kiddie, that you look at iadl.org

Kai Schlicting is no longer 'in the business'
Matthew Sullivan (SORBS), discredited--I suspect he lost his security
clearance on morals, and has become a transvestite.
Chris Neill is working as a sysadmin for M$, but they probably don't
know his background. I don't go out of my way to inform anyone.
 J. Alif Terranson was last heard working 'forensics' for private
detective--this is sort of a dead end job, since he doesn't have the
credibility to be a court expert witness. His dishonest exploit with
Savvis and Spamhaus took care of that.

These people above didn't throw away their careers for a good cause.
They threw away careers because they followed /SPAMMERS/ and crackers
bad advice, or perhaps they were spammers and crackers themselves all
along. I can't really tell whether they were misled on bad advice or if
they knew they were part of a scam from the beginning. I only know that
at some point, they must have known they were lying and doing bad
things.

I have 20+ years in this business, and working on good causes like the
League for Programming Freedom, founded by Richard Stallman. I've seen
many beligerent, dishonest, but smart people before. You probably think
that you're too smart to be held accountable--that no one would waste
your intelligence by putting you in jail or keeping you from a computer.
But you are running with a bad crowd; A few bad choices, and you could
end up like those above, or worse like Michael Warchut and Peter
Krotkov. http://www.av8.net/ECPA/CouncilmanVAlabris.pdf

Warchut and Krotkov were sys admins for Alabris who copied email, were
caught, and then plead guilty to felony violation of the Wiretap act and
fined. They started this in January 1999, the same month that Jeremy
Porter threatened my life for merely saying that privacy law applied to
ISPs and John Levine said that privacy laws applied only to Telcos.
Alabris was fined $250,000 for its responsibility. Councilman himself
got away. When Warchut and Krotkov testified against him, Councilman
said they were lying and that Warchut and Krotkov executed the whole
scheme themselves without his knowledge, and that their testimony was
unbelievable as they are convicted criminals. The jury agreed that there
was reasonable doubt that Councilman was involved. (I rather think
Councilman probably was involved--copying email for the benefit of the
company isn't the kind of thing that sysadmins do secretly without
telling their boss.) I've been trying to find Warchut and Krotkov to
talk them about the case--I can't find them through the 'net. Nobody
wants to hire a felon--and it seems they have abandoned the Internet
altogether. To bad, I've read some of their email on lists before they
were convicted, and seemed to be smart people. But it seems they have
faded into obscurity and can't be found.

And of course, I'm sure you know who Kevin Mitnick is, and what happened
to him. You seem to me to be technically smart enough to be another
Kevin Mitnick, if you made some bad decisions. Choice is yours; make it
wisely.
