My Google Alerts alert for dnscurve triggered today, and here's what I found. A lot of this happened a few days or weeks ago; I wonder why it didn't trigger earlier. * DNSCurve's website: updated on June 22 with a lot more details, especially on possible attacks (forgery, flooding, etc). http://dnscurve.org/ * FISL 10 in Brazil, last week or so, had a DNSSEC vs DNSCurve panel -- http://fisl.softwarelivre.org/10/papers/pub/programacao/772 and http://www.nardol.org/2009/6/24/fisl10-day-1 (paragraph 4) * FISL 10 competition: implement DNSCurve. The winning entry's writeup is at http://padovan.org/blog/2009/07/arena-de-programacao-do-fisl-10/ (autotranslated: http://bit.ly/58imy) and their code (in Python!) is at http://www.las.ic.unicamp.br/~joaopaulo/arena/ * FISL 10 talk: "The DNS security mess", described at http://www.nardol.org/2009/6/29/fisl10-day-4 (paragraph 4). * Slides for the talk: High Speed Cryptography and DNSCurve -- http://cr.yp.to/talks/2009.06.27/slides.pdf (Why are there always slides but no videos?) * I'm not commenting on this: http://maradns.blogspot.com/2009/06/why-i-will-not-implement-dns-curve.html Faried. -- The Great GNU has arrived, infidels, behold his wrath ! Kein Mitleid Für Die Mehrheit. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing. -- TJ
