But if you then pointed out that it was completely Open Source software, you would get a very different response. Not one of immediate trust, to be sure. But not an instant "that's a termination offense" either. It would be moderated by the fact that, even if they don't personally know or trust the source of the code, they can read the source code itself (depending on their ability to read and understand source code) and decide for themselves if it is trustworthy. This is the beauty of Open Source.
