I'm sorry, but people are smok'n crack around here: "disprespectful",
"philosophy"?!?!?!

Lighten up - it's a damn software package - not  a religion. It's great
software - but it doesn't play nicely with real distros like Redhat/etc.
Tough if you don't like them - lots of people think they're grand. You
aren't going to convince anyone to throw away rpm/apt/etc for Yet
Another Package Format, nor will the other things djb did differently
win either.

I think DJB's software has suffered from the lack of distro support (ie
to be officially supported by official channels - like postfix is) - his
license was the main issue there. Now that it's "totally free", I see
Mark as someone trying to haul djbware into the 21st century. If we're
*really* lucky, it might actually end up included within distros - wow!
However, to play that game, you really need to use the "standard tools"
that all those other lousy programmers seem to keen on - stupid people
that they are ;-)

Mark - keep up the good work. I'm still waiting to see what your zinq
Qmail looks like :-) [don't forget STARTTLS support, AUTH, ipv6, and all
those other things someone won't probably like]
