Matthias Andree is bashing against qmail and DJB since some years.

He is now actively involved in the FreeBSD team (and maintaining the
Fetchmail port, AFAIK). I really considered to drop FreeBSD because of this
reason for my own personal use. In particular the multi-CPU is broken, the
USB support is flawed ....

Most of the problems Matthias mentioned here are at least partially solved
in my SPAMCONTROL patch  for qmail (I actually quoted him for the Sendmail
enhancement; this is a nice to have - not more). Others are simply useless.

I commit to that sentence:

"Part of the DJB philosophy is: if the existing standards
don't meet your technical requirements, don't follow them. Do not settle
for mediocrity, but design the APIs you need, for a technically better
product."

In my own enhancements for qmail, I try to follow that.
