Thanks for the info.  No, I had never seen adsuck.

One of this list members is going to modify dnscache for me to allow handling an enormous blacklist (domains to block access to).  The blacklist will be kept in a CDB file, which appears to be ideal for this situation (large number of records, single index, infrequent changes to the blacklist).
