I am using bind 9.5 with DLZ enabled and a mysql backend. I am having trouble setting up a set of DNS records that I (believe) has been possible in the past, and so I'm not sure why it's failing right now. Hoping for any ideas or help. So, let's say I have a zone for "example.com". I can set up A records for "@" (which would match only example.com), "*" (which would match "*.example.com"), "www" (which would match only "www.example.com"). Those all work fine, but now I want to set up something like "abc.www.example.com", or even "*.www.example.com". I enter those as "abc.www" or "*.www" respectively in the zone entries table. However, Bind doesn't seem to recognize any of those sub-sub domains upon request. I do a "dig" against the server and it doesn't respond with any answer, and the same if I do a ping against it. Like I said, I'm pretty sure I've been able to do this in the past. Anyone have any idea why I wouldn't be able to now? --Kyle ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Apps built with the Adobe(R) Flex(R) framework and Flex Builder(TM) are powering Web 2.0 with engaging, cross-platform capabilities.
