Most distributions don't build their releases with 'contrib' stuff enabled. You'll need the LDAP driver from the contrib section for DLZ to use LDAP Hello, I have not tried yet, but I am pretty sure that at least the debian lenny packages are built with (partial) DLZ support included. At least I downloaded the source package and can see that the debian/rules script includes the dlz files from contrib and configures bind with "--with-dlz-ldap" (but without dlz-mysql and dlz-psql).
