General confusion about BIND DLZ

Hello, in the past, I have been down this road, though it appears things have changes a bit and my notes now have links that are not relevant to what I need to do.

Task at hand:
Install BIND/named with DLZ on RHEL 5 for MySql database support.

The main issue I think is that I am not at all familiar with Red Hat or any of it's variants.  I know most of the ports systems and have generally hand built a lot of software, though on Red Hat, it seems they use different package managers which I am not familiar with, and hand building runs me into more issues.

It also appears in the Red Hat area, there is something called SDB, which I am not able to figure out what it exactly is.  Can someone explain to me the difference between SDB and DLZ?  I also hear DLZ is possibly built into BIND in current releases, so perhaps I am not finding any information because it is already there?

What I want to do is use a package manager, perhaps rpm, and get BIND installed, with support for DLZ via MySql.  Configuration will not be an issue, I have done MySql, named, and a number of other similar configurations several times.

If anyone can give me some general pointers on how to get this working on RHEL I would greatly appreciate it.  I am going to try to hand build this out on Mac OS X now as I have done in the past to get myself familiar with the process again.  However, I have a feeling that is not going to assist me much as the process will be entirely different.

If someone has experience in this and would prefer to go off list and do the consulting route to spend an hour or so with me, I am more than happy to try that as well.  I would also take that information and come back to this list to post what I learned in summary, in hopes of helping someone else in the same boat through the list archives.

I am in a bit of a hurry to get up to speed on this, any rapid help would be appreciated.
