nsd 4.1.14 debian package

I'm having trouble with an upgrade.  nsd 4.1.14 debian package
is working on one server, and the secondary dns server is not starting
after an upgrade.  I tried downgrading it and works ok again.

What is a good way to go forward?  compile it on a server to get
more recent version?
