First of all thanks for your help. But after having found the dev-tools (yes, they're available on contribs.org... shame on me!) and having done many different tests with different parameters I finally found out, that I simply had disabled the sound card when I installed the machine. Who actually needs a sound card in a server?... :-/ >> VIA proposes to first use a built in module.
