I use BackupEdge and DVD+RW drives for backups on smaller workgroup/POS
servers. I love BackupEdge, have used it for more then 10 years on Unix
and now Linux servers. In my opinion DVD only makes sense as long as you
are using less than 4.7 GB. Where DVD does work, it works well. You can
set BackupEdge to make (include) a BOOTABLE, recovery DVD on every
night's backup!

If you start talking large amounts of data, roll in the tape drives,
BackupEdge works great with those too. Even the One Touch Recovery tape
drives.
