RE: SME 6 spamassassin

Greg,

I am currently using spamassassin 2.55 on SME 6b3 using
http://contribs.com/contribs/jprice/beta/e-smith-spamassassin/ which I
thought was a collaboration between yourself and Shad Lords updated by J
Price. It works very well in conjunction with Pyzor, Razor and Dccproc. I
dont see why it couldn't be updated with spamassassin-2.6,
spamassassin-tool-2.6 and perl-Mail-spamassassin-2.6.
[5 minutes later] I have just downloaded those three files and updated
spamassassin. No dependency issues. I will let you know how it goes.

Is the SME 6 spamassassin build different from that created from the
sourceforge source?  If memory serves, Charlie did some work on qmail-spamc.
I've noticed that SA 2.53 has become less effective at detecting spam than
it
was a few months ago.  My guess is that an upgrade to SA 2.60 will solve the
problem as, like virus detection software, a given version of SA grows less
effective over time.
