This seems like a big undertaking. I have to agree with John here. I have wanted a good Exchange Replacement/Groupware add-on for SME for some time and have spent time looking/playing with most of them. In the end I have either gone with a different solution (i.e. Web-based, or Bynari Server) when needed. Personally I think integrating kolab (or the like) into SME is a 'massive' undertaking and is not a project that should be undertaken without a great deal of infrastructure in place. Let's walk before we run - so to speak. There are a lot of changes happening in the 'SME World' and maybe making sure the house is in order before adding another floor might be the best plan. I like the outline that Brad has sent, but would like to digest it for a little bit. Lot's of good ideas flowing here though....
