Darrell,

I have to admit that I like the picture...but don't those guys usually get
killed in the inevitable uprising?

Here's my thoughts as to current and future leadership. The process is
working. :>

Contribs is a reasonably successful little web site that does a nice job for
what is invested in it and the resources it can call on. We are now
doubling our hit rate instantaneously. We expect to more than double again
if this becomes a successful project.

We don't want the proverbial "rush to code" to interfere with good planning
and implementation process. To me, this is a business venture. Whether we
ever intend (or will be able to) make money on it is inconsequential. It is
clear that I'm *spending* money on it. Let's get good value for everyone.

The ultimate direction that contribs.org will take is not determinable at
this point. But since, the current direction is what allowed us to get
Mitel's trust, we're going to assume our instincts are correct until better
informed.

All discussion is fair and welcomed. Any one who might have a direction
significantly different from ours is welcome to create and host a site of
their own. That's the beauty of open source and the net.

So. We're making some important changes at contribs.org. We have taken
over the Mitel forums, and will be taking devinfo shortly. We are working
on a new interface for our CMS to better be able to serve our growing needs.
We've had a few private conversations, and now we're going to have lots of
public conversations as to the direction you folks would like to see us
take.

As such, we're renaming Wish List to Suggestions and we hope to continue
these "road map" discussions in the forums to maintain a history of the
threads.

There's a LOT more coming down the pike in a few days. Please give us just
a little more time to flush out our thoughts and we'll give you everything
we have.

Keep tuning into contribs.org. Life around here should be quite interesting
in the next few months! :>
