I have committed the driver and moved the typedefs to stdint.h as 
Michael suggested.  If some one would like to beat me to updating the 
rest of the drivers that include typedefs or defines for u8, u16 etc. 
please go ahead.  Simply include stdint.h and remove the unneeded 
typedefs from the driver files.
