Can you give a little more detail on how you are trying to load 
memtest86+?

Are you using PXELINUX as in this example:

     http://syslinux.zytor.com/archives/2004-August/003969.html

Or some other method?

If you could give some details of your setup, perhaps we can reproduce 
the problem and debug it.

I'm wondering particularly how the memtest image is being loaded (mknbi 
or PXE).
