The brokeness I see sometimes is something to do with Windows running on
the machine first and doing something with power saving (but this is
nothing what so ever todo with this list, so I'll be quiet :)

Would a card to test with be any help? (I don't actually have one as all
of mine are on motherboards but I'll have a look on the interweb)
