I can't, with any of the following compilers:

gcc version 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease)
gcc version 3.0.4
gcc version 3.2.3 (Debian)
gcc version 3.3.6 (Debian 1:3.3.6-1)
gcc version 3.4.4 20050314 (prerelease) (Debian 3.4.3-12.1)
gcc version 4.0.1 20050503 (prerelease) (Debian 4.0.0-2)

:-(

This is CVS from one hour ago, the compilers are installed in .deb form
from Debian unstable.

I have attached the test script that I created and the resulting log
files. I need to generate config/general.h after a 'make clean'. Why?

Which is the minimal compiler version that we want to support? I might
have a look at the problems if I know that.
