Anyone who's interested in PXE might want to read the start of the Etherboot PXE documentation, at http://www.etherboot.org/api/group__pxe.html The UDP API and TFTP API documentation is now fairly extensive, and includes information about known bugs in the specification, recommendations for PXE NBPs etc. as well as documenting how the Etherboot PXE implementation does (or, in some cases, will) work. I'd particularly recommend http://www.etherboot.org/api/pxe_notes.html#pxe_note_tftp for a long and detailed explanation of precisely why the PXE TFTP API is fundamentally broken, and a proposed workaround that doesn't involve violating any specifications. My aim is that this documentation becomes the definitive reference work for PXE, superseding the PXE specification v2.1.
