RE: help about EEPROM etherboot

There can be any number of causes.  Including:

1) A bios that is not compliant with the PCI PNP spec
2) A NIC that does not have the rom socket enabled (use the NICs setup
utility)
3) A NIC that is wired incorrectly (the smc gigabit is an example)
4) the pci ids that you have already checked.
