The current production version of Etherboot is 5.4.1.  Could you try  
using that version?

You can use http://rom-o-matic.net/ to easily make .zrom or .zdsk  
images.

If you prefer to compile the images yourself, you can download the  
source at:

I have re-directed your message to Etherboot-Users, since it is not  
yet clear that there is a development issue here.

Let's debug a little together, and see if we can find the problem.
