Re: Static ip patch problems

Hi Ricky,

I prefer to keep most messages on the list so everyone can learn and  
help, and I don't have to repeat things (and I also sometimes forget  
things :)

I'm glad to see that you are making progress, and hopefully we (you,  
me, and other folks who want to help) will come up with a good patch  
that adds the functionality without any unintended side-effects.

Let's see if anyone else has any thoughts or interest in this.   
People have asked for static ip support for years, so here's a chance  
to provide it.

Don't worry about your English, it's plenty good enough.
