Good day Jörn, Regarding your Windows Server 2008 SAN-booting troubles: You mentioned that you had been using the Wiki as a guide... The guide suggests that you create an image with DD of the HDD, starting from the MBR but only including the last sector of the OS partition. Are you able to iSCSI-attach this HDD image from some other running Windows system and perform a CHKDSK on it? It sounds like either filesystem corruption (which can and does happen if more than one computer is attached to the same SAN at the same time) or that your DD didn't quite copy what was needed, perhaps truncating the OS partition.
