Good day René, One cannot SAN-boot an .ISO at this time. A SAN-boot mimics an HDD boot, not an El Torito ODD (optical disc drive) boot. The closest you could probably get is by: - making an HDD image - making a partition in that image - formatting that partition with a filesystem (FAT32, EXT2FS, etc.) - copying the .ISO into that filesystem - installing GRUB4DOS into the HDD image - using GRUB4DOS and its configuration file to map the .ISO as an emulated ODD - booting the emulated ODD Then the SAN-boot would look like: gPXE -> sanboot -> GRUB4DOS (maps .ISO) -> .ISO El Torito boot The CentOS 5.3 would have to know something about re-establishing the SAN and finding any files it needs inside that .ISO, which could be tricky. - Shao Miller ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
