In this particular instance, I'd guess that Daniel's PXELINUX is too
old, and cannot take advantage of gPXE-provided protocols  Support for
gPXE protocols was first introduced in version 3.70.  PXELINUX option
208 "magic" hasn't been needed since 3.55.  (Search for "magic" in the
syslinux/NEWS file)
