Ah... ok it does seem to be something to do with how I was editing the scripts - in fact everything had stopped working! Just rewrote them using nano from fresh and all seems ok now. Doh! :) -----Original Message----- From: Ben Machin [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 11 October 2009 10:16 To: [email protected] Subject: [Etherboot-discuss] echo not echoing? Hi All, Hopefully a quick question - am having problems getting anything to echo back from my gPXE scripts. I'm chainbooting undionly.kpxe (0.9.7 - not the git tree) from Microsoft RIS - and my setup is working, just not echoing anything. e.g. #!gPXE Echo "Hello I'm here" Ifopen net0 Dhcp net0 Chain http://... Etc. Chains the next script but doesn't echo anything to my screen. I get the gPXE banners and so on - just no echo from my scripts. Am booting hyper-v guests, ESX 4i guests, Proliant 465's - i.e. a mix of clients all with the same result. I'm using nano to edit the scripts (I've been burnt with notepad!), I've tried single/double/no quoting, /n etc. to no avail. I can't seem to find anyone else with the same issue - so am assuming I'm doing something really stupid!
