The initrd contains the right network driver (e1000.ko) and after copying ifconfig (and some additional stuff) into the initrd it is possible to set up the network interface eth0 with "ifconfig eth0 192.9.200.155 netmask 255.255.255.192 up" but not with DHCP!!!. But after that mounting the rootfilesystem manually is still not possible. I get the following error message: "mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on 192.9.200.137:/svr1/rootfilesystem/pilas5 missing codepage or helper program, or other error In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail" The module nfs.ko is also available inside initrd. So the filesystem shouldn't be a problem. Torsten. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
