Log:
 Use "opt_func_string_t" so that we get some more type checking done.
 
 Use safe_ versions of <ctype.h> macros, so we don't get hosed by
 characters with the 8th bit set.
 
 Define "tplt_linedir()" with a function prototype.
 
 Constify some stuff to squelch compiler warnings.
